Key Responsibilities Conduct highly confidential and complex criminal investigations related to internal security, employee misconduct, document integrity, misuse of public funds, tampering with official records or systems, and other criminal activities. Represent the DMV in multi-agency criminal investigations with the Department of Justice, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and other allied law enforcement agencies. Provide investigative testimony and advisory services to state and federal courts, other law enforcement entities, and DMV legal staff. Perform a full range of peace officer duties under California Penal Code Section 830.3, including making arrests, issuing citations, and serving or assisting in search warrants. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all law enforcement activities. Desirable Qualifications Meet P.O.S.T. medical and psychological requirements. Strong knowledge of law enforcement principles and investigative techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple agencies and departments.
