\n\nJob Details:
\n• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
\n• Patient ratios of 1-4 patients depending on acuity for all shifts
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
\n• Must have 1 year of experience required
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), NRP and STABLE
\n• Must be comfortable working with prison population as this is a public hospital
\n• Must have experience with L&D and willingness to float to other units
\n• Will assist with cross-training efforts for LDRP model transition
\n• May provide coverage for Delivery/MB during training periods
\n• Can be floated to any unit of the hospital as a sitter if needed
\n• Experience attending deliveries preferred; willing to be trained if no experience
\n• First-time travelers must have strong experience as baby nurse at deliveries
\n• Must be comfortable being only caregiver during emergencies while other nurse cares for nursery babies
\n• Two nurses on duty at any given time
\n• Tennessee state license or multi-state compact license required
\n• Must complete labs within 72 hours of signing
\n• Non-billable modules (up to 2 hours) must be completed pre-start
Facility:
\nThis public hospital operates a combined NICU level II and well-baby nursery with 14 beds and a daily census of 6 patients. The facility cares for neonates 32 weeks and above and is transitioning to an LDRP model. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The hospital maintains strict compliance requirements and policies to ensure quality patient care.
